Disclosures block

The Product Disclosures block displays product warnings, safety information, or legally required notices that have been assigned to a product in Shopify.

This block automatically reads data from the Disclosures product metafield. If no disclosure is assigned to a product, the block will not display any content.

1. Create a Product Disclosure

Before adding this block to your product page, make sure you have created and assigned at least one Product Disclosure in Shopify.

  1. In Shopify Admin, go to Products.

  2. Open the product you want to edit.

  3. Scroll down to Product metafields.

  4. In the Disclosures field:

  1. Fill in the required information, such as:

  1. Save the disclosure.

  2. Save the product.

2. Add the Product Disclosures block

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes.

  2. Click Customize on your theme.

  3. Open the product template you want to edit.

  4. In the Product Information section, click Add block.

  5. Select Product Disclosures.

  6. Drag the block to your preferred position.

  7. Click Save.

3. How it works

When a product has one or more assigned disclosures, the block automatically displays them on the product page.

Each disclosure may include:

If multiple disclosures are assigned, they will all be displayed.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1. The block doesn't display anything

Check the following:

4.2. Can I display multiple disclosures?

Yes. A product can have multiple disclosures, and all assigned disclosures will be displayed automatically.

4.3. Where do I edit the disclosure content?

Disclosure content is managed in Shopify. Any changes you make to a disclosure will automatically update every product that uses it.

4.4. Why is one of my Product Disclosures not displayed on the product page?

Each Product Disclosure has its own Display preferences. If the missing disclosure is configured to display only on the Cart page, it won't appear on the product page.
