Linked Product

This feature let you display related items as swatches on the product page. Customers click a swatch to jump directly to that product’s detail page.

1. Create the Metaobject

Create a Metaobject that represents one linked product group.

The Metaobject must include two fields:

1. Name

   • Type: Single line text

   • Used to name the product group

2. Products

   • Type: List → Product

   • Required key: products

2. Create the Product Metafield

Create a product metafield to link each product to a Linked Products group.

• Name: Theme linked products

• Required namespace & key: theme.linked_products

• Type: Metaobject

• Select the Metaobject created above

• Value: One

3. Prepare Products by Variant

Each linked option must be created as a separate product, and each product should have only one variant that represents the option you want to link.

The linked products feature works by matching variant values between products (such as color, flavor, size, or version).

Example: Mint / Vanilla / Choco / Peach → create 4 products, each with one matching variant value.

Example: For the product Moisture Tint Lip Gloss – Peach, create only one option (e.g. Color) and set the variant value to Peach.

4. Create an entry and assign it to product metafields

Create one Metaobject entry for the product group, select all related products in the Products field, and set the entry status to Active.

Then, open each product in the group and assign this entry in the Theme linked products metafield.
All products must reference the same entry for linked products to display correctly.
