By default, when customers click a vendor name on a product card or product page, Shopify redirects them to an automatically generated vendor collection.
For example:
https://yourstore.myshopify.com/collections/vendors?q=VendorName
This vendor collection is automatically created by Shopify, which means you cannot set a collection image or customize its content.
If you want to:
Set a collection image, description, etc. for a vendor collection
Use a cleaner, SEO-friendly URL.
Please follow the steps in this document to create and configure a custom vendor collection.
Create a Smart collection for each vendor.
You don't need to add products manually. The collection automatically includes products from that vendor.
When creating the collection:
Set the collection name to exactly match the vendor name.
Configure the collection to include products from that vendor.
Optionally, add a collection image to use as the banner.
Save the collection.
The collection name must exactly match the vendor name.
In the theme editor, go to: Theme Settings → Product
Enable: Use collection link on vendor
Then click Save.
