The Linked Product feature lets you display related products as swatches on the product page. You can click a swatch to go directly to the corresponding product page.
For example, you can link separate products for different colors:
Mint / Vanilla / Choco / Peach
If you are on Shopify Plus, you can use Shopify Combined Listings, which provides similar functionality and is fully compatible with Shopify.
Create a metaobject to represent a group of linked products.
Add the following fields:
Field | Type | Required key |
|---|---|---|
Name | Single line text | — |
Products | List → Product |
|
The Name field is used to identify the linked product group.

Create a product metafield to connect each product to a linked product group.
Use the following settings:
Name: Theme linked products
Namespace and key: theme.linked_products
Type: Metaobject
Reference: The Linked Product metaobject created above
Value: One

Each linked option must be created as a separate product, and each product should have only one variant that represents the option you want to link.
The linked products feature works by matching variant values between products (such as color, flavor, size, or version).
Example: Mint / Vanilla / Choco / Peach → create 4 products, each with one matching variant value.

Example: For the product Moisture Tint Lip Gloss – Peach, create only one option (e.g. Color) and set the variant value to Peach.

Create one Metaobject entry for the product group, select all related products in the Products field, and set the entry status to Active.
Then, open each product in the group and assign this entry in the Theme linked products metafield.
All products must reference the same entry for linked products to display correctly.
