The Blog Posts template helps you display your blog posts in a clean, professional, and user-friendly layout.

Below are the most common questions and settings you can customize for your blog post page.

1. Article image

You can enable Show article image to display the featured image of the blog post.

The image is taken directly from the image uploaded for the article in Shopify.

2. Show or hide blog information (date, category, comments)

Yes, you can easily control which elements are displayed on the blog post page:

3. Width content

To adjust the width of the blog post content, select Custom width.

This allows you to control how wide the content appears on the page.

4. Where does the blog content come from?

The Content block displays the main blog post content.

This content is taken from the article content you have added in Shopify.

5. Navigate between blog posts

If your blog contains multiple posts, you can enable the Post Navigation block.

This allows visitors to move to the next or previous blog post.

6. Comments

The Comments block displays:

This helps visitors engage with your content directly on the post page.

7. Configure Author for Blog Posts

Some stores do not have a built-in setting to configure the author for blog posts.
You can use Metaobject and Metafield so customers can select the author displayed for each blog post.

This feature is supported from Athora 2.0.0 or later.

Step 1: Create the Authors Metaobject

Go to:

Settings → Custom data → Metaobjects → Add definition

Create the Metaobject:

Step 2: Create a Metafield for Blog posts

Go to:

Settings → Custom data → Blog posts → Add definition

Create the metafield:

Step 3: Add Authors

Go to:

Content → Metaobjects → Authors → Add entry

Fill in the author information:

Then click Save.

Step 4: Select an Author for the Blog post

Go to:

Online Store → Blog posts → select the blog post

Scroll down to the Metafields section.

In the Theme author field, click Select entry and choose the author you want to display.

Then click Save.
