This feature is available starting from Vetro version 2.1.
The Downloads section is available on the product page only and allows merchants to add one or multiple downloadable resources, such as care instructions, user guides, or safety information.
When customers click Download, the content opens in a new browser tab without leaving the product page.
Add the Downloads section to the product page, then add a Download file block and manually enter the File name, File type, and File URL for each item.
When File type source is set to Auto, the theme automatically displays the file format based on the URL (for example: .pdf, .png).
When set to Manual, you can enter a custom label for the file type, such as Guideline PDF or Video.
This setup is recommended when the download content is the same for all products and does not need to vary per product.
If each product has its own files or links, use Product Metafields to manage the content dynamically.
Each download item requires three product metafields:
File name (text)
File type (text)
File URL (URL)
After entering the values for each product, connect these metafields to the Downloads section using dynamic sources in the Theme Editor. This allows you to reuse one layout while showing different download content per product.
Adding more download items
To add additional items, create more metafield sets (name, type, URL) and add corresponding download item blocks. For the best experience, we recommend 3–5 download items per product.
