The Free Shipping Bar is a notification bar displayed in the Cart / Cart Drawer, showing how much more customers need to spend to qualify for free shipping. The amount updates automatically based on the cart total to encourage higher order values.
Go to:
Shopify Admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery
Select the Shipping profile you are using.
Add a rate or edit an existing one.
Set:
Price: 0 (Free)
Condition: Based on order price
Minimum order price: Enter the amount required for free shipping (for example: $100)
This amount must match the metafield value used in the theme.
Go to:
Settings → Metafields and metaobjects → Products
Namespace & key: theme.shipping_money
Type: Money
Then:
Select one product only.
Enter the same free shipping minimum amount.
This product is used only to define the free shipping threshold.
Go to Theme Editor:
Cart / Cart Drawer → Scroll to Theme Settings → Click Product
Choose the product that has the theme.shipping_money metafield assigned
On Cart Page
You can also select any existing product whose product price already matches the free shipping minimum amount.
Go to:
Online Store → Themes → … → Edit default theme content
Navigate to:
Cart → Free shipping bar
